Sally was selected to participate in the prestigious Playwriting Group at the Royal Court Theatre London 2017-2018. Since then she has written several pieces including some performance art which she performed at the Royal College of Art, LCC, and Gunnersbury Park Museum where her piece was featured alongside the works of Banksy and David Hockney.

Sally is currently collaborating with two major northern theatres on pieces for their 2025 and 2026 seasons, and is developing a semi auto-biographical sitcom for TV. She is also writing and appearing in a short film with celebrated comedy writer Alex Lynch.

Sally recently wrote and performed in a play with her creative partner, actor and writer Niall Ashdown, called Whose Woods These Are, a piece which celebrates the precious and timeless world of the forest, embracing its romance, darkness and fragility through interweaved stories and music. Sally and Niall are currently in conversation with several theatres around the UK in view to tour the play in 2024.
